Michal Wodzinski, previously Editor-in-Chief of UPDAY Poland, is now overall responsible for UPDAY's journalistic products and services as Editor-in-Chief UPDAY. The role has been newly created. Michal will represent the news service's journalistic perspective, contribute to the development of UPDAY's products, and coordinate and communicate between the teams of UPDAY's editorial hubs. Michal leads a team of eight country Editors-in-Chiefs in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

In addition, Michal is responsible for the teams curating UPDAY in Eastern Europe, as well as a new team that is to be built for a test phase of UPDAY in the US. The test will run from mid-February to mid-April and focus on New York State. The top news stream will be curated by a team of six editors and focus both on general news and local news from the region. The test will be limited to iOS.
