Canadian Chris Dinsdale has become the chief financial officer of Budapest Airport, as of 1 April. The new CFO will manage not only finance, but also the procurement, legal and IT departments, and will also serve as the managing director of AFS Ltd., Budapest Airport's fuel subsidiary.

Chris Dinsdale, who turned 41 this year, first studied engineering physics at university, before completing an MBA in finance. After his university studies, he worked in the Canadian banking sector prior to moving to Hungary in 2003 together with his wife of Hungarian origin.

Chris spent seven years at KPMG in Hungary, working in business and financial advisory primarily within the Hungarian and regional energy sector. He then spent the next four years as the CFO of Wildhorse Energy, a London and Australian stock exchange listed energy company. The firm was developing a coal to synthetic gas project and a uranium project in Hungary.

"Working at the airport is a diverse and complex task, and I am very excited to be taking on this new role. The airport has undergone a major transformation during the past decade, and has become truly a world class airport that I am proud to be a part of." said Chris Dinsdale, the CFO of Budapest Airport.

Chris is married, with two daughters, aged 5 and 7.
